- How does billing work?
- One subscription priced on a single number: how many properties you manage. Properties in the first band keep that rate. Doors you add in the next band cost less each. Pay monthly, or prepay annually for 10 months (2 months free). You see both totals on this page and the exact charge at checkout.
- What is the difference between monthly and annual?
- Same property bands and the same per-door rates. Monthly bills that total every month. Annual bills 10 months up front, so you keep two months. The Monthly / Annual control on this page shows both numbers for your portfolio size.
- What happens when I add or remove properties?
- License more properties in Settings → Organization. Extra doors stay on the plan you already pay (monthly or annual), are charged now for the time left in this period, and renew with the rest of the portfolio. You cannot add a property until those licenses are on the plan. Canceling during a paid period credits unused time back to the card.
- Do field techs need a paid seat?
- No. Team members are unlimited and free on every plan, including field roles — we bill properties, not people. Guests and owners do not need an account at all; they use approval and scheduling links.
- What if I only manage a few properties?
- Small portfolios are billed at a five-property minimum, so the smallest plan is the same as managing five. Above that you pay for exactly what you manage.
- Is there a trial?
- Yes — a 15-day trial. Your card is collected at signup but not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel during the trial from the billing portal.
- Is my data separated from other customers?
- Every organization is isolated at the database level with row-level security. Queries are scoped to your organization, and integration credentials are encrypted per organization.
- Can I get an invoice instead of paying by card?
- Larger portfolios can be invoiced. Contact billing@placecommand.com and we will set the account up for offline billing.
- What about portfolios over 100 properties?
- Above 100 properties we price individually rather than self-serve, so the plan fits how your operation actually runs. Contact billing@placecommand.com and we will put a number in front of you.
